WHO WE ARE
This is the official website for the promotion
of the original choral recordings
of the Russian Orthodox Cathedral in London, United Kingdom.
HISTORY
Ikon Recordings was set up in 1975 to meet
the world-wide interest in Orthodox Church Music.
Initially the Liturgical music sung by the Choir led by Father
Michael Fortounatto at the Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Ennismore
Gardens, London was recorded.
Under the guidance of Nicolas Tuckett other Orthodox music was
also produced and the works of other Music Publishers became
available for purchase in the Cathedral Bookshop and via Mail
Order. As a Registered Charity profits from the sale of LPs,
Cassettes and now CDs go towards the work of the Russian Orthodox
